Be a part of Bahamas Out-Island Adventures’
Third Annual Surf School in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
Three one-week sessions will run June 16 - July 5,
2008. Learn to surf at some of the Bahamas’ best
waves, when the conditions are nice and small and
good for learning. Warm weather, warm water and
warm people make June a great time to surf in
Eleuthera - the island called Freedom!
Where We Surf: We choose the right beach for instruction based upon conditions that day. The spots are chosen for gentle, small surf suitable for learning. Intermediate surfers and beginner surfers may work at the same spot some days but split up some days if conditions warrant. We stress safety: all students must be strong swimmers when they arrive here. You must be a strong swimmer before learning to surf.
Our Instructors: Learn from at least 3 different instructors. Our instructors are experienced, Bahamian surfers. They enjoy sharing their love of the ocean with others. Camp includes 4 hours of surf instruction per day. Students will be grouped based upon age and also ability level. Instructor to student rate of 1:5 or smaller! Lots of surfing, but also time to explore the island of Eleuthera while snorkeling, caving, kayaking and cliff jumping.
Meals and Accommodation: Delicious breakfast at camp headquarters near Surfer’s Beach. Lunch on the beach at wherever we’re surfing that day. Go-out to-dinner night at a local restaurant. Fun nighttime activities. Accomodation at Surfer’s Haven and Surfer’s Beach Manor on the ridge overlooking Surfer’s Beach!
Booking Information: The minimum for each week is 10 surfers with a maximum of 16 surfers filling the school. Booking will be on a first come-first serve basis and you will be notified via email by April 31st at the latest. If we get the interest you will be notified before then and be given first opportunity to book. Please email any questions and to receive further details on the surf school. We include a travel planner to help you plan your trip.
Cost: Prices (6 night/7 day) do not include transportation to Eleuthera:
